Training & Placement Office

This Privacy Policy explains how the Training & Placement Office, University College of Engineering, Osmania University ("the Portal", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit this website or sign in to access student-only features.

Account information. Sign-in is handled by Clerk. When you create an account or sign in, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo (if supplied by your chosen sign-in method). Access to student-only pages (Calendar, Messages) is restricted to accounts with a verified @uceou.edu email address.

Contact form submissions. If you use the Contact page, we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), company name (optional), and message. This is transmitted directly to the Placement Office via our email provider and is not stored in a database by this application.

Technical data. Our hosting provider may log standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps for security and reliability purposes.

We do not use advertising trackers and do not sell data to third parties.

• To authenticate users and gate student-only content to verified UCEOU students.
• To route and respond to inquiries submitted through the Contact page.
• To display placement notifications and calendar events sourced from the university's official Google Calendars and the uceou.in Placement Admin system, this displayed content is public placement information, not personal data about site visitors.

We rely on the following third-party services to operate the Portal:

• Clerk - Authentication and Account Management.
• Resend - Delivery of Contact Form Emails.
• Google Calendar API - Read-only Access Used to Display Public Placement Event Schedules.
• Netlify - Website Hosting.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms, and are not permitted to use your data for their own marketing purposes.

We use essential cookies set by Clerk to keep you signed in between visits. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies on this site.

Contact form messages exist only as an email sent to the Placement Office and are retained for as long as that mailbox retains them. Account information is retained by Clerk for as long as your account remains active.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data at any time by contacting the Placement Office at ouceplacements@osmania.ac.in. You can also delete your own account from your profile menu at any time.

This Portal is intended for prospective and current university students, faculty, and recruiters, and is not directed at children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Portal after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
